Exclusive Pyro is a sole proprietorship active in online retail. From production and graphic design to product packaging, virtually everything is done by me. The man who started it all. Since late 2017, I have been selling original, exclusive, handmade pyrotechnic merchandise items all over the world with great pleasure from this amazing webstore.
After many years of experience, it can be challenging to work with all kinds of people online. Naturally, I always do my utmost to help everyone in the same way, and that is why I am sharing this information with my visitors. A reminder to everyone: be patient... Time is human; without patience, false expectations quickly arise. Haste is rarely a good idea. In this text, I tell my story about how it all began, with many highs and lows, and how a dream can become reality.
In my story, I mainly want to discuss a selection of products that are available exclusively in our webshop. Developed and further developed by us. There is much to tell, but too much to simply give away. Experimenting within our projects often costs more than we would like, but over time, we learn from it. Good things often take time. In this way, there is often progress, even in the face of setbacks.
In addition to our own manufactured products, we also have various collaborations with some of the most popular fireworks brands in Europe. We have sold brands in our range such as Lesli, Funke, Privatex Pyro, Klasek Trading, Di Blasio Elio, Zink Feuerwerke, and more. We are open to collaborating with more brands and already have plans for new partners in 2026. More news regarding this will appear on our social media.
Although this is a one-man business, our team consists of a small group of people who help me whenever necessary. Friends, family, and like-minded individuals, sometimes financially and sometimes in a friendly manner. Speaking of myself: I am a born pyro and a creative entrepreneur with years of experience in the fireworks industry. Although much has changed, I still have my passion for fire and fireworks. After years of making, collecting, and testing fireworks, I started this webshop, from which I derive a great deal of pleasure today.
In addition to my own webshop, I also sell lettering through my side business. This includes vehicle lettering, façade signs, stickers, printing, and even interior design. Back to this webshop: the very first product appeared on the Instagram page in late 2016, which had just reached 1,000 followers at the time. I launched three types of lighters with a few prints and knew nothing about social media or customer service. Financially speaking, running a business was a matter of trying to earn money and, above all, spending it, usually, with the thought that I would reinvest it back into my business. Ultimately, however, in the first few years, I spent more than I earned at the end of the year. Sales were going well, but prices were too low, and therefore, the future was often uncertain.
The name Exclusive Pyro became official on February 17, 2017, and this company has grown tremendously since then, despite the many moments of doubt. In terms of network, service, and our product quality, everything has been maximized, and I am very grateful for the many enthusiastic reactions I have received throughout the years. The exclusivity attracted attention, and in combination with social media, we made a significant difference in the online fireworks scene. This was mainly due to all the posts shared by many YouTubers and enthusiasts in the months around December, because what we were doing was something new. Slowly, the webshop became a webshop with interest from all over the world—a dream come true. Thanks to the success, we were able to expand our product range, and once again, many hours were spent designing all the digital files. Several laptops were lost, data that had to be recovered but was nevertheless irretrievable. When you run a business, you cannot avoid expenses, in addition to all your fixed costs. The economy keeps changing, and so do our prices. Generally, these rise every year. We really have no choice. In any case, we keep buying new lighters; these are packed by hand, one by one, or we have them packed.
That is life; nothing goes according to plan. Take the Arc-X Specials, for example; we tried selling them via exclusivepyro.com, but somehow they didn't sell well in our assortment. A year later, after launching on the Etsy platform, we sold multiple units within a week! That is precisely why we are now offering our Arc-X Special lighters (with many new models) there. With all those years of experience, we still have plenty of inspiration for new collaborations and new ideas. Often, an idea from an influencer or customer is well-received by others, or even thanks to a competitor tipping us off. For us, trade is often a collaboration, and we are always open to ideas.
